• Every third Sunday, our Bishop (clergy) doesn't hold early morning meetings so Bryan didn't have Bishopric Meeting or the other meetings he gets to go to.  He's always up before me and is my alarm clock.

This morning Riley came in our room and woke us up.  It was 9:30 and we only had 1 hour and 15 minutes to get us all ready!  I admit, the task seemed a bit overwhelming and part of me wanted to have a "family sick day".  That feeling didn't last long and we even made it on time (with my hair and make up done – not an easy task!).

Am I glad we made it!  I bawled all through Sacrament Meeting!  The words expressed were just what I needed to hear.  One of the speakers said, "If you want to make the Lord laugh, tell him your plans"  G-u-i-l-t-y as charged!

We ended the meeting with a favorite hymn of mine: Lord, I Would Follow Thee.  We didn't sing my favorite verse, but I made sure I read through it:

    • Who am I to judge another when I walk imperfectly.  (that's me, I'm imperfect!)
    • In the quite heart is hidden sorrow that the eye can't see.Amber  (that's me, too!)

I hope your day was fulfilling too!

  • IMG_4488_2What a fun day!  Since they are no longer with us, I'm sure Grandma and Grandpa Packer enjoyed watching those of us who could make it have a great time.

2008_08_16_0005 I met my nephew for the first time.  He'll be a year old before you know it and I just met him!

2008_08_16_0094 2008_08_16_0107 We learned a lot about Grandma & Grandpa.

  • star_wars_clone_wars_poster.jpgWow, what a lucky girl I am.  I was asked to the same movie by three different guys!  I told them I couldn't decide which hot guy to go with and asked them if we could all go together.

Bryan and the boys took me to see Star Wars the Clone Wars last night.  It was fun movie and a big hit with the boys.  They enjoyed every minute of it.

Personally, I like the Star Wars: Clone Wars TV series (2003 – 2005) better.  We have it on DVD so we get to watch it whenever we want!Amber

  • Have you been wondering what's coming to you door September 1?  So was I until a couple of days ago.  I had designed two layouts using the My Mind's Eye Laundry Line, but it's not shipping until mid-September, so I had to come up with a couple of new layouts for September.  Here they are:

    September pic

I'm so excited!  You know I LOVE one-page layouts, so September's Autoship includes 2 one-page layouts and 1 two-page layout.  The one-page layouts can be put together to make a two-page layout if you prefer.  You will get an entire package of American Crafts alphabet stickers so you can personalize your titles (like I did).

I've used the My Mind's Eye 29th Street Market and Making Memories' 5th Avenue lines.  You'll get gorgeous Prima black swirls, flowers, bling, journaling spots and more!

I can't believe that next month is our 6 month mark!  I can't wait for you to see what's coming up for the club.  I've already designed October's shipment, I know what I'm designing for November and December already!  I'm really enjoying designing for you and hope you know that I'm looking forward to the next six months!Amber

  • IMG_3101_0005I LOVE going on Good Things Utah because I'm always so pumped up and full of adrenaline afterward (not unlike reading certain books, wink!).

I sure started today's segment with my heart pumping!  It went a little different than usual, I had to share a table with Alan from Heels 'n Toes but we only had a 2 minute commercial break to get his things off and mine on.  It was a little stressful trying to make my table look good, get my mike on and set out my project in such a little amount of time.  My co-hosts Amy and Reagan helped, but it the table wasn't laid out like I would have liked.

I also only had about 4 minutes instead of the usual 6, because we were running out of time.  So I didn't get to focus on the project as much as I'd have liked to.  Luckily, I've done this a lot and the three of us worked well together as we threw my well-planned schedule out the door!  Even though we missed out on the project, I do feel we were able to focus on the cool products you'll find at the Scrapbook Extravaganza Sale.  Oh, and Angie said I had "Hottie Hair"!

Here's the scoop on the sale:

  • Breaking Dawn

Okay, I just finished tonight.  I wasn't accomplishing anything by not finishing it, so I thought I had better just READ IT and be done with it.

Now, I have to tell you this:  I really enjoy these books, but I am not a fanatic.  I see flaws (gasp!) with both Edward and Jacob so I can't pick sides.

In fact, for those of you who have read this one, I have a dilemma:

What do I do when my Young Women ask me to borrow it?  I'm not sure I should lend it to them, if you know what I mean!

That being said, I have decided that I should be a Vampire.  I can see so many positives:

    • I would no longer be clumsy (ask my sister and brother-in-law about how I walked off their porch last week scraping up my leg – I think the final dismount was entertaining, though!)
    • Not having to sleep would be a BIG plus!  I just might be able to stay caught up on my deadlines, play with my children, clean the house, spend quality time with my husband, and fulfill my calling better than I do now.
    • Wouldn't it be nice to have perfect complexion without having to use (how many?) products!  I could go to "sleep" without washing my face and not regret it in the morning!
    • Oh, and think of the money I would save on hiding my gray hair!  (Just one patch … right in the front!)
    • What about my figure?  Again, the guilt I could save when I don't exercise!  And how great would I look in my jeans!  WOW!

I guess the only drawback would be the diet.  Hmmm, where do I sign Amberup!

I hope you enjoy the read too!  On to a good mystery!

  • I wrote the Bo Bunny blog post today.  If you comment on that post, you'll be entered into a drawing to win Bo Bunny rub-ons!
