• As you know, I’m not teaching wood letters this quarter.  As sad as I am about that, I am THRILLED about this class.  When I first started the wood letters, I thought I would change the projects each quarter and then the wood letters were so popular that we didn’t do that (obviously).  I’ve had this class on the back burner for a LONG time and am excited to offer it to you this quarter!

We are using Basic Grey, American Crafts and Bazzill Basics paper; Basic Grey rub-ons, Bazzill flower, Imaginisce brad, Making Memories clip, heart charm, ribbon, a transparency quote and custom vinyl lettering.  The frame is included so you will walk home ready to add you pictures! 2007_03_15_006_3

  • Hey guys!  Cute Pam that I work with is having a contest on the AMM blog.  All you have to do is comment on her post from Monday about what makes you happy and she will draw a winner!  good luck!

We are going down to Ephraim, UT for my brother’s basketball game.  It is their conference tournament (they tied for first in the conference) and they are hosting it.  If they win tonight, they’ll play tomorrow and if they win tomorrow night, they’ll play in the national championship tournament!  Wish them luck!  *A*

  • Hi all!  I was asked to teach a wedding class this upcoming quarter (April, May and June).  I wanted to cut back a little on classes and had committed to my family that I would only teach two classes.  Because of this, I am not teaching Possibilities! (I’ve taught it for four years straight).  It’s hard to know it’s not on the schedule.  But, don’t worry … it will be back next quarter!

Anyway, please think of Love of a Lifetime as "Possibilities! in disguise!"  I have used titles that can be used for other things.  They are:

    • Everything you can imagine is real
    • The love of my life
    • I love you not only for who you are, but for who I am when I am with you (a quote about friendship)

    Here are the snippets:

Check back Monday for the framed page snippets!  *A*

I hope you enjoy it!  *A*

Oh, yeah, I’m supposed to say "As seen on Good Things Utah"

  • Hey guys!  I’m on Good Things Utah tomorrow morning.  It’s on channel 4 (local) at 10:00 am.  I hope you can make it!  If not, no worries!  I’ll provide a link on the blog.

So Monday I worked for 8 hours and created this for the show:

    Photo_shoot_1 Bag_left_side Bag_back Bag_right_side Bag_tag

Img_1064 Img_1065_1 Img_1068 Img_1069 … and I LOVE IT!  But, alas, apparently Roberts altered an AMM bag on the show a couple of weeks ago.

So … yesterday, I did another project.  It’s a Traditions Studio clock.  I didn’t think the clock was cute in the package, but here’s it is finished:  Clock_5 and … I like it.  My sons especially love it.  They’re a little bugged that it belongs to the store and it’s not ours.  I’ve shown it to two people (outside of AMM folks) and they both want to go to the store and buy one.  In fact, Carey said, "now I need to figure out where I need a clock".  The store does not have any clocks today, but they will tomorrow.  They’ve been expressed shipped so we’ll have them at the store for purchase after the show.  They also have some other really cute things, such as: bracelets, mugs, coasters, frames and soap dispensers.  Wish me luck!  *A*

  • Some of you have heard this already … but Tamara and I are representing All My Memories by teaching at the Scrapbook USA Expo on April 13 & 14th at the South Towne Expo Center.  Sign-ups begin March 1 (Thursday).  Both classes (Tamara’s and mine) feature {2} gorgeous two-page layouts.

I have been lucky enough to have American Crafts sponsor my class.  You know I LOVE their ribbon, but also have over 100 gorgeous new patterned papers, awesome new embellishments (thickers, felt flowers) and fun rub-ons.

Come join me and create these two beautiful layouts:

    • Class Name:  Joyful Smiles
    • Price:  $20
    • When:  Friday from 4:30 to 6:00 pm
    •           Saturday from 12:30 to 2:00 pm

****The store will be having a booth with clearance prices on AMM products****

Personal note:  I was just playing "take the nose" with Riley (his first time) and when I put his nose "back", he said "Good job, mom!  Good job!"  I love the fun things he says!  *A*

  • So I am dragging … literally dragging!  I’m even still in my pajamas as I type this at 2:00 pm.  I have the Class Schedule done (I think) and off to our graphic designer.  My sweet husband has cut the paper for Possibilities! tomorrow night & I need to start working on the rest of the kits, but I’m dragging.  This is ironic because Bryan just sent me this article on sleep.  It says that the average woman over 30 gets 6 hours and 41 minutes of sleep a night & that’s not enough.  Lately I’m not even getting that!  I also make most of the mistakes they site (except I don’t take naps and I don’t stay in the room with the boys until they fall asleep).  But I DO wait until they are asleep to start work.  I guess I feel guilty doing it while they are awake.

I’m going to try it … the suggestions they make.  We’ll see if it helps!  Let me know what you think of the article!  *A*

  • Dear friends, it’s been a couple of weeks since I last posted.  I’ve been CRAZY busy!  It’s my own fault.  Two weeks ago I looked at my schedule and realized that the CK HOF entry was due Feb. 10 and my classes two days later on Feb. 12.  Here’s a quick recap …

    • I started my HOF entry on Tuesday the 6th.  I pulled an almost all nighter that night (I was up until 4:30 am).  Here’s a quick recap …
    • Wednesday I was up until 2:30,
    • Thursday it was 2:00,
    • 3:00 on Friday,
    • 1:30 on Saturday …
    • on Sunday I worked from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 a.m.
    • I dropped my classes off at the store at 6:30 Monday night.
    • Tuesday I was at the store reviewing the samples.
    • Wednesday was Valentine’s and I hadn’t prepared in advance, so I ran around all day to get that prepped.
    • Thursday I designed my class for the Scrapbook USA Expo and at 8:00 when I was done I took the boys to McDonald’s.  (Bryan had a meeting until 7:30 and couldn’t get the boys dinner for me)  They were so patient!
    • Friday we went to my "little" brother’s game at the College of Eastern Utah in Price, Utah.
    • Saturday we went to the viewing for Jeffrey Walker (killed Monday at Trolley Square).  The Walker’s are friends of the family.

We skipped my brother’s game because we just needed a day off.  My brother scored 41 points and had 14 rebounds and I missed it!  I also needed the time off.  So that’s it.  I hope you’ll forgive me for not being around.  😉  There are a few emails I haven’t answered and I will get to those tomorrow I promise!  Tomorrow I get to finish the calendar for the store and get my supply lists in for next quarter’s classes.  I’m teaching Possibilities! on Thursday and Lucky on Saturday.  But that’s nothing compared to the last coupld of weeks!  *A*

  • My nephew had a pirate party on Friday.  Both boys went and had a great time.  Isn’t Riley the cutest little pirate!  2007_02_02_006 2007_02_02_003 Neal DID dress up, however, he wouldn’t let me take a picture while in his pirate costume.  He had a fun time with all his cousins, though!

My SIL did a great job.  They walked a plank, had sword fights (carefully monitored) made treasure maps, decorated "treasure chests" (cake), played "Will it Float" with pirate-type things and, of course, went on a treasure hunt!

2007_02_04_009_3Neal had an assist in his Jr. Jazz game Saturday morning.  He is the only kindergartener on the team and is still learning.  He has a smile on his face the entire game!  This is the picture I got of his assist … as you can see, I was a little excited!  I guess all our pictures can’t be masterpieces, right!?

    2007_02_02_021_1We also went to my brother’s games.  He plays basketball for SNOW College in Ephraim, UT.  It’s about 6 hours from the time we leave our home until we get home, but it is so much fun!  They won both games against their rival SLCC.  Which was ultra sweet because they were "robbed" when they played up here!  {Isn’t Riley cute cheering?  This was after the come from behind win on Friday}

Geoff_dunk_crop_1Geoff was the MVP of the league last year and was a pre-season JC All American.  He is having another great year.  In fact, he is 4th in the nation in scoring.  I can’t believe the season is almost over.  My kids have grown up so far watching my "little" bro. play.  I hope that wherever he is next year, we can still get there to watch!  *A*

  • of the gorgeous AMM Ribbon Chest is … AMANDA H.

I had my son, Neal, do the drawing.  He didn’t quite understand why I wanted him to pull out a piece of paper.  I had to talk him into it!

I’ve had a couple of requests for pictures of each X & O … so here they are:

I’m working on my Hall of Fame entry … have a good weekend!  *A*
