  • I had TONS of fun on GTU today.  This project is so versatile!  Once you decorate it becomes a stylish storage unit for whatever you need to store!

  • 2005_07_04 017 4x6 For over a year now as we say our prayers, we have prayed that “Grandpa’s cancer will go away”.  I’ve been a little worried as my Father-in-law neared the end of his second round of chemo and we were getting closer to knowing the outcome.  What if it didn’t “go away”?  How would I (we) explain that it wasn’t Lord’s will to our beautiful boys that believe the cancer will go away?

This morning we got the best news possible … Grandpa’s cancer “went away”!  It’s in remission (for now).  I’ve been crying all day as I think about it.  Riley and I woke Neal up to tell him and I interrupted Bryan in his meeting so he would know first thing.  Then the boys and I made sure we took the time to say thanks.

What a beautiful, glorious day today is!

But, through all the elation our family is feeling, I have some friends in mind who are struggling.  The end is not in sight for them, at this Amber_2point.  Know that it will get better, whatever your struggle is, it will get better.  Hugs to all!

  • My friend, Rachel, and her husband went to Peru a couple of weeks ago.  Before they left, they collected some church clothes to take to the people she had worked with when she was there on a mission.  Bryan's clothes are too tall, I had already gone through my closets, but she needed ties for little boys.  My boys and I went through their ties (I love them all!) and decided which ones to keep and which ones to give away.  The boys took them to give to Rachel.

Here is a video of Rachel giving away some of our ties.

  • I just wanted to take the time to thank Bo Bunny, Crate Paper and A Page 4 All Seasons.  The last three times I was on GTU, I didn’t have a company like the wonderful All My Memories behind me.  These three companies were so generous!  They provided me with product to design with and great audience give-aways!  I could not have done it without them!

I have been talking with a really cool company called Northridge Media for the last couple of weeks.  Yesterday I went to their offices and talked with them.  They are going to sponsor my segments on GTU!  YEAH!  They publish the following awesome publications: Scrapbook Trends, Paper Crafts, Cards and Bead Trends.  Check them out … you’ll love them.  It’s like getting an idea book delivered to your home monthly!  Amber_2

I’m looking forward to working with them.  Hugs!

This is a FUN project!  I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!Amber_2

  • My friend, Layle, asked me to design some layouts for Scenic Route with their Lynden line.  I had a lot of fun designing with this line, it was a little bit of a challenge to design with because I’m not a real “pastel” girl and I could only use the products Layle gave me.  By far, one of my favorite products to use recently is Scenic Route’s background papers.

Here’s what I came up with:

the thrill of the hunt  simply irresistible   my mom & me Enjoy the Moments

Amber_2I hope you enjoy these layouts.  Have fun making your own!  (I just got their Liberty line, I’ll show you what I do with it when I’m done!)

  • My "Live Well" layout from my May Autoship Club was featured as the "Workshop" in an article written by Linda Fantin in today's Salt Lake Tribune.  (To read the article, click here)  The article is about Copyright Laws and "Orphan Works".  You'll want to read the article, it's a very interesting read to scrapbookers and anyone who appreciates the creativity of others.

This is something that is close to my heart.  I want to share my ideas with others and it's a huge compliment that you like them and want to use them for your personal use (gifts included).  Please do, that's one of the main reasons why I do what I do: teach, go on TV, keep a blog.  I want to inspire your creativity!  Just please don't claim the designs as your own, make money off them or teach them in a class (it's been done).  Amber_2

Thank you for constant support and kind words!
