About a month and half ago I was asked to help get a blog going for My Mind's Eye. Those of you who took classes from me at All My Memories know I have loved My Mind's Eye for a long time.  My love for MME started with Wild Asparagus and has continued ever since. 

You can imagine my joy when they asked me to help with the blog!

What better keepsake for that special “dad” in your life than a mini album showing how much he means to you. This album is a great addition to his office or your coffee table.

I used an antique cigar box as the case for my album. You can find your own cigar box at a local antique store or on the Internet (eBay is a great source). You could also use an unfinished wood box found at your local craft store.

I really camped in this for 4 days!  I'm totally behind in my posting.  I'll catch up soon … and, that IS hail on the ground!!

How I was inspired:

I was inspired by the colors and stuck with the cream and brown with a punch of green!

I also loved the relaxing "feel" of the ad and wanted my layout to have the "feel".

I used the shape of the chair as the shape of my pictures.

I used a font like the one used for "Pottery Barn" as my title across the top.

I added a sub-title on the left side of the main photo.

My journaling ran in a straight line along the bottom.

BoBunny Love Shack:  I just about died when I first saw this line!  It was December and I was feeling the blues.  This line is so bright and colorful it chased those blues away.  It seems like a really feminine line, but as you can see, I've used it with my boys and kept it masculine!
