It's hard to believe my baby will be 8 next month!  It really was just yesterday that he was born.  All I did was blink!  Now you are a smart, handsome, funny young man.  One of my favorite things about you is that you want to do what's right.  You don't always do it, but you try to learn from your decisions – good and bad.  You are thrilled at the chance you have to turn 8 and can't wait to be baptized.  We went to the "Great to be 8" fireside last Sunday (2/8/09).  You made sure everyone was on their toes and even told the bishop when he would be meeting with you!

"Does anyone have any more questions?

N: "When do we meet with the Bishop?"

Bishop: "Usually the Sunday before your 8th birthday."

N: "Okay, that will be _______.  Because my birthday is on Monday the _______."

Bishop: "You'll have to speak with _______.  He schedules all my appointments"

He happened to be sitting behind you.  So, you turned around and asked him if that would be the day.  He said he would "hook you up".

They'll never get a chance to forget – you won't let them!  As you tell me all the time, you remember everything!
