Because a lot of our traditions involve our extended family, my little family doesn’t have too many of our “own” traditions.  Gingerbread is fast becoming one that we look forward to.  Neal was given a gingerbread tree from his BF, Cole, and Riley was given a gingerbread house from his BFG, Molly.  I bought the family the really cute train you see the boys and I working on.

It is really fun to watch them get creative with their decorating.  This year was especially fun because Neal did the tree all on his own!  He was worried at first and asked for help, so I told him to try it and if he still needed help, I’d be there for him.  It was fun to watch his confidence grow as he progressed in the project!

This is always one of my favorite nights.
