Every third Sunday, our Bishop (clergy) doesn't hold early morning meetings so Bryan didn't have Bishopric Meeting or the other meetings he gets to go to.  He's always up before me and is my alarm clock.

This morning Riley came in our room and woke us up.  It was 9:30 and we only had 1 hour and 15 minutes to get us all ready!  I admit, the task seemed a bit overwhelming and part of me wanted to have a "family sick day".  That feeling didn't last long and we even made it on time (with my hair and make up done – not an easy task!).

Am I glad we made it!  I bawled all through Sacrament Meeting!  The words expressed were just what I needed to hear.  One of the speakers said, "If you want to make the Lord laugh, tell him your plans"  G-u-i-l-t-y as charged!

We ended the meeting with a favorite hymn of mine: Lord, I Would Follow Thee.  We didn't sing my favorite verse, but I made sure I read through it:

  • Who am I to judge another when I walk imperfectly.  (that's me, I'm imperfect!)
  • In the quite heart is hidden sorrow that the eye can't see.Amber  (that's me, too!)

I hope your day was fulfilling too!

    That is funny.
I am the Chorister for my ward and we also sang this exact same song. (but all verses)
I love all this song too.
