• 2008_10_30_0009 It’s weird, I know. But since there is no school tomorrow, the Halloween parade and class parties were held today.

Everything was a success and the only glitch was when Riley went to the bathroom while I was helping dish up the Chocolate Milk.  He’s doing such a good job of going, he just needs to remember that he can’t go to the bathroom by himself when we’re not at home.

We found out that the Rec Center that we usually play basketball at is not holding basketball for Neal’s age group this year.  I’m glad I found out today because we have until Saturday to get our team signed up at the other Rec Center.

Birthdays!  Today is my dad and B’s Mom’s birthdays!  They were even born in the same year!  How lucky are we to have them in our lives!  Thanks Mom!  Thanks Dad!  We hope your day is as special as you (that’s REALLY SPECIAL!)

Glitz Design sent me Hallow paper, Frosting Strips (bling), rub ons, stickers, journaling cards and roller doodles to play with and let me play.  This is what I came up with!  And PLAY I did!

Their products are so much fun!  Glitz is owned by three super cute girls who have 12 kids between them.  So, they like to make scrapbooking (and other projects) quick and easy!

Thank you Glitz Design (and Erin) for letting me play with your fun products!

    ENJOY!

  • Last year Carey and I took the kiddos to Gardner Village a few days before Halloween.  It was so much nicer to do it before Halloween.  I still took photos on Halloween night, but didn’t worry about getting the “perfect” one while the boys were excited to get trick or treating.  We’re developing a tradition.  The kids even like it (I think)!

The whole group:  Anakin Skywalker, Indiana Jones, Mutt Williams (Indy’s son), a beautiful flower with a bumble bee and a lady bug and a very handsome pan handler.

Carey’s son said we need to find something that has four boys and one girl (and two dogs) to dress up as next year so we all match.

    Aren’t they so cute!?

I’ve run the “color” Photoshop Action from Mindy Bush (see link at left) to enhance the color in the pictures of the boys.

Roxy knows how much Neal loves High School Musical.  Being the good friend that she is, she made sure I knew that KayCee Stroh (Martha Cox) and Ryne Sanborn (Jason Cross) were going to be on the program today.  Since Neal is doing so well in school, I let him skip school to go.  Carey, Tamara and their kids also came!  We were disappointed that we didn’t get to take pictures with KayCee & Ryne.  But had fun anyway!

  • 2008_10_21_0007WALLS!  Isn’t it a beautiful sight?  Before you know it, the “ScrapCave” will be the “ScrapOasis”!  I’m not quite sure what to do with myself I’m so giddy!  We’ve still got a lot to do, but we’re making great progress.

2008_10_21_0009Neal will have a bedroom right next to me.  Together, we’ll rule the basement (at least until we can finish the rest)!

Everyone pitched in and helped mud and tape.  This is my least Amberfavorite part, but it’s an important one!

  • Tonight we had dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe to celebrate our friend’s birthday.  It was the boys first and probably last time eating there.  Did you know they’re closing at the beginning of December?  It’s sad, but true!  You’d better go while you still can!

    Seriously!

After debating for 45 minutes or so, asking for other opinions, they officially said that Christina and her friend who made the super cute gas station shelf are the winners.  But then added “but they’re all so good, we can’t really decide” and gave us all very generous prizes (thanks Roberts!).

I LOVE this competition!  It’s fun, challenging, I get to hang out with some of my favorite people, compete against some new favorite people and it’s for charity!  Remember these shelves as well as our adirondack chair will be auctioned off at the Festival of Trees and all the money is donated to Primary Children’s Medical Center.  We are so lucky to have that hospital close by!

You can make your own princess shelf with My Mind’s Eye Flirty papers and chipboard along with a dvd/cd shelf from Roberts and a lot Amberof fun!

  • I received an email from my friend, Kris, asking if I’d seen the Bo Bunny in the November CK.  No, I hadn’t.  What timing, I went to my mailbox and there it was.  I looked through and found this:

It’s the Believe album I designed!

    What a fun surprise!
