“Let it Snow!  Let it Snow!  Let it Snow!”  That’s what we’re singing around here.  The state that’s home to the Greatest Snow on Earth only had one storm that reached the valleys this month.  I’m sure by the time you receive your shipment you’ll have had lots of opportunities to take beautiful photos.

Included in January’s Club shipment:  My Mind’s Eye Laundry Line papers (Snowflakes page), Bo Bunny Beau Jardin papers (You Melt My heart page), bracket paper, My Mind’s Eye Glitter Chipboard Alphabet, acrylic snowflakes, ribbon, crystals & custom transparency titles.  Everything you need to make the layouts as shown (4 x 6 white pieces represent your Amberphotos).  Sewing optional for “You melt my heart” layout.

  • January web As some of you know, every year my friend and I  make calendars every year for ourselves and to give away as gifts.  Each year, my mother & mother-in-law look forward to seeing what photos of their children and grandchildren I use.  (I have everyone send me photos and I print them up.  That way I don't have to decide which photos to use).

My boys can't wait to change months to see what the next month will bring!  When the year is over, I simply cut the pages out and add them to my scrapbooks.

Since I'm not teaching at All My Memories and there isn't a calendar class to take, we made some extra calendars.

I just listed one on ebay.  The starting bid is $24.99 plus shipping (free local pick up) for TWELVE – 12 x 12 pre-made Layouts and a calendar.  All you have to do when you receive it is add your own photos!  For those of you Amberhow want to see more, here's the link: 12×12 Calendar ebay link.

  • I was on Martha Stewart's website a couple of months ago and saw the cutest candle holders made out of pumpkins.  I immediately thought … "wood!  I can use wood instead of pumpkins!" and filed that thought away to use later.

When Julia asked for volunteers to create a table setting, I knew just what I wanted to make and literally begged her to let me do it!  What fun I had!

Two of the other Design Team members also came up with settings.  To see their creations, visit the Bo Bunny Blog.  Leave a comment and you could win Bo Bunny products!

Cut a 4 x 4 post in 3 1/2" lengths, drill a hole the size of the candles.

Mod Podge paper & photos to wood blocks.

For an added touch of elegance, add glitter to Bo Bunny chipboard and taper candles.

For Candles: spray glue (or mod podge) on candles and add glitter.
Use photos of those who will be eating at the table in the Abundance center piece. If you'd like to change the photos out for next year, use double stick tape to temporarily adhere photos. When your guests leave, remove this year's photos and be ready for next year!Amber

  • Libby was the first to guess Las Vegas and is the winner of the HANDMADE.  If you are in the market for a great Christmas present, this would be a great one for yourself or someone else!

We went down to watch my brother's basketball team play in a tournament.  We stayed at "Tahiti Village".  The photos of my boys were taken at the swimming pool.  Check back tomorrow for more photos.

Honestly, it would have been a good day even if my team didn’t win.Amber

  • My assignment for today was to come up with a "Unique way to show thanks".  I wracked my brain trying to come up with a "unique" way.  So many have been done.  I wandered up and down the aisles at my local craft store and saw the cutest metal wreath with stars.  Then it hit me!  I had wanted to do a wreath for Good Things Utah last year, but it just didn't work out.  That was it!

Wreath2Believe_bannerBelieve_close up2Bookplate_cookies for SantaBookplate_boysStar_RileyStar_Neal Star_familyAs you can see, the wreath base is just a grapevine wreath.

The stars are paper mache and the paper is adhered using mod podge.

I used Staz On Ink to stamp on top of the mod podge and bookplates.

I've also glitter glued on top of some of the stamps and the poinsettia.

Let me know if you make yourself one!Amber

    2008_11_20_0005  2008_11_20_0008

I've done a lot of designing this week.  On Monday I designed my January Autoship layouts and another layout for A Page 4 All Seasons.  On Tuesday I designed a girl frames like the dinosaur ones (look for them in the next couple of weeks) and a surprise for the Bo Bunny Blog that you'll see tomorrow.  Between those two nights, I got 5 hours total sleep!  Yesterday I made cookies and prepped my costume for Young Women, made cookies and spent time with the little one.  Today I started working on a project for Monday's Bo AmberBunny Blog.  That's what the glitter is for.  It's time to head to bed!  That is, after I get this cleaned up!

  • You know, sometimes when you are a young woman, you think all the "rules" about how to be a lady are dumb.  And then you grow up and realize the importance of them.  We've noticed a couple things as YW leaders that we wanted to address, but didn't want to hurt anyone's feelings in the process.  So we came up with "Ladies" Night.

To start the evening, we performed a skit.  The YW President was interviewing girls to see who would get to go somewhere special.  We could only send one girl and needed help choosing our representative.  Four girls were interviewed:

Sister "text"in:  Text messaged through the entire interview.

Sister Improper:  Wore flip-flops, t-shirt, sweatshirt, hadn't bathed, done her hair or make up, slouched when she sat and had her legs open (Can you read this? sign).

Sister "Bare"it:  Wore a fake bottom on top to "reveal" without "revealing".

Sister Grace:  Practically perfect in every way!

I was Sister Improper.  It was fun.  The girls had a good laugh and we Amberwere able to have an open discussion with them.  When we were done, we decorated sugar cookies.

Look at these fun pictures of my boys.  Can you guess where we went last weekend?  I’ll give you a hint: it’s on the mainland (I WISH it were Hawaii!)

If you can, I have something for you!  The first person who guesses correctly where we went will get a copy of Northridge Media’s newest magazine:  HANDMADE.  This is the first edition of this magazine.  You will LOVE it, there are so many great ideas!

p.s. Family and Friends who know where we went (I know who you are) are not eligible for the prize.  Don’t hate me!  It just wouldn’t be fair!

Leave your guess in the comments of this post.  First one to guess Amberright – wins!

This layout was featured on the Bo Bunny Blog yesterday.  I was worried that the Beau Jardin Bleu paper would be too “swirly” and “girly” for such a TOUGH layout.  I also knew that if it worked, it would be fun.  I think it worked!  Yeah!
