Love, love, love this project!
We don’t have a baby in the house anymore. Riley loved putting the paper on the cutting mat and helping me peel the airplane shapes after they were cut with the Silhouette.
Riley really wants airplanes hanging in his room, just not as a mobile.
I used the “Hello World” collection from My Mind’s Eye. A definite must have for travel and boy projects!

The papers are double sided. If you want to enjoy both patterns, cut out your airplane shape as follows in your Silhouette of other cutting machine. (or hand cut)
If you would like both sides of the airplane to have the same pattern, cut out two airplane bodies (mirror images) as follows:
In the typed instructions, I suggested using a little hot glue to keep the wings in place, while stepping out the project for Good Things Utah tomorrow, I thought of this idea:
(Both methods work, it’s a matter of personal preference)
To create the mobile topper, wrap jute around a 12” wooden embroidery hoop) and secure every 1 – 2” with a small dab of hot glue.
If you would like to create your own, mobile, download these instructions and watch the Good Things Utah segment. I will upload the segment here, when it is available.
