Don't you think the word "pause" is a great word?  Sometimes I wish there was a pause button on life.  Our DVD player won't stay paused for a long time, just a couple of minutes.  That's all I need.  Can I just pause life for two minutes?  Let me pause … to think?

I did that today when I found this note in a book I was reading when I was pregnant with Neal.  I wrote this note for myself just days after finding out I was pregnant.  Yes, within the first week, I was going to IV therapy.  Being pregnant sure explained explained a lot.  I continued IV therapy for most of my pregnancy and was put home health care and eventually bed rest for the last few months.

IV therapy note (neal)

Seeing this note not only reminded me of why we're happy with two children, but how grateful and lucky I am to have them.  I'm so glad my Father in Heaven has trusted me (us) with our two sweeties.Amber

Added later: I just ran across this great quote.

"Learn to pause … or nothing worthwhile will catch up to you" unknown.

Were you at Cottonwood hospital? My mom was an IV therapist there for YEARS, I’m SURE you might know her… because it was on the 3rd floor and right of the bathrooms… anyway. I wanted to comment because it sounds like you were just like my sister when she was pregnant. Zofran via IV was the only thing that kept her alive and functioning. I am SCARED to death to have kids because of that… so I have to ask, did your mom and if you have any sisters experience the same thing? Just curious. Thanks for your perspective on this.
