We’ve recommited ourselves to regularly holding Family Home Evening.  Tonight we didn’t have a lot of time, but had a lot of desire to spend time together.

We pulled out the "Friend" and read a couple of stories.  One story we read, "Bullies and Brothers", is about a brother who came to the rescue of his sister when some older girls were bullying her at school.  That night she put the "red plate" in her brother’s place at the table because he had been so kind to her.  Everyone in the family knew that the red plate meant that he had done something special.

That’s the tradition I want to start … the red plate.
