I hope you all had a nice day! Mine was good. I had breakfast in bed, I got new running shoes (I walk/run for a minute on the treadmill), Bryan spoke in church & the parents (& my cool little bro.) came, we got HATCH FAMILY CHOCOLATES from the ward, we had dinner at my in-laws where the guys made it, got dinner for the kids and cleaned up after, and then we went to my parents and watched the most disappointing survivor finale EVER! UGH! We all know who the real survivor is & the last challenge I swear was custom made to have Danielle win!
This is my beautiful mom and I when I was two (1976). We were lucky to have both moms in church with us to hear Bryan speak (Riley fussed the whole meeting!). My mom is very tender-hearted and mother’s day is hard for her. She goes to church and hears about all these "perfect" mothers and thinks about all her inadequacies (which aren’t nearly as many as she thinks!). My friend Carey watched (while I was in the hall) my mom take my big "little" bros. hand and hold it for comfort. Isn’t that what we all want? My early years weren’t perfect (is anyone’s?) but growing up, I ALWAYS knew I was LOVED! That’s the legacy I want to pass onto my sons. I hope I can be a mom like my mom. *A*
BTW … I’ve added a quote of the week feature. It’s on your left. I hope it helps!
